Frequently Asked Questions
How does embedding work?
Add a single script tag to your page. The script creates an iframe that loads the calculator widget. The iframe is sandboxed for security and auto-resizes to fit your container. No backend setup, no API keys, and no authentication required.
Can I customize the look and feel?
On the Pro and Enterprise plans, you can set your brand color and logo using data attributes on the script tag. Use our Brand Configurator to preview your brand applied to every widget in real time. For deeper customization, Enterprise customers can request custom CSS or widget layouts.
What calculators are available?
We currently offer 7 embeddable widgets: Mortgage Payment, Tip Calculator, Compound Interest, Savings, Investment, IRA, and Debt Snowball. Enterprise customers can request additional calculators built to specification. Visit the Widget Gallery to preview all available widgets.
Will the widget slow down my site?
No. The embed script is only 2KB and loads asynchronously. The calculator runs inside an isolated iframe, so it does not affect your page's JavaScript, CSS, or Core Web Vitals scores.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts for the Pro plan. You can downgrade to Free at any time. Enterprise contracts are negotiated individually.
Is there a free trial for Pro?
Yes. All new Pro accounts include a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. You will only be charged if you choose to continue after the trial ends.
What happens when I reach the widget limit?
Free plan users are limited to 3 widget types. Upgrading to Pro unlocks all 7 current widgets and any new widgets added in the future. You will never lose access to widgets you are already using.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact us at admin@markcolabs.com and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
