Introduction

DigitalCalculator.info is owned and operated by Markco Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide free online financial calculators for informational purposes. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit our site and how it is used.

Information We Collect

DigitalCalculator.info does not require user accounts, form submissions, or personally identifiable information to use our calculators. For the calculators on this website, calculations are performed in your browser, and the figures you enter or import are not transmitted to our servers — including when you download a report of your results. One separate service does process inputs on our servers, and it is described below: our MCP server and developer API, which is reached deliberately by a developer or an AI assistant rather than by visiting a page here.

Your browser does keep some things for you while you use the site, such as a saved calculator figure or your light/dark setting. Those stay on your device; the section What This Site Stores on Your Device lists every one of them, what it holds, how long it lasts, and how to remove it.

Downloadable Reports

Many calculators offer a downloadable report of your results, as a PDF or a printable document. Producing one is an explicit action — nothing happens until you ask for it. Since August 11, 2026, that document is assembled on your device: the same calculation code that produced the numbers on screen builds the report in your browser, so the figures in it are not sent to us in order to make it.

Building a report may request the report template, the fonts and the formatting code from our content delivery network, in the same way the page itself was requested. Those requests carry the name of the file being fetched and appear in the standard access logs described under "Log Files" below; they do not carry the values you entered.

A report rendered on our servers still exists as part of our developer API, described in the next section. The calculator pages on this website do not use that path.

MCP Server & Developer API

We operate a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at mcp.digitalcalculator.info and a companion developer API (collectively, the "API service") that allow AI assistants and developers to run our financial calculations programmatically. The API service has two tiers and sets no cookies on either: the calculation tools are anonymous, requiring no account, no API key, and no sign-up, while a paid API key — which identifies the caller to us — unlocks server-rendered PDF reports and a per-key request quota.

What the API service processes

• Calculation inputs: The numeric and categorical values you (or your AI assistant) submit — for example, a loan amount, an age, or a filing status — are transmitted to our servers (Amazon Web Services) and processed in memory to compute your result. They are not stored in any database, not used to identify you, and not shared with or sold to third parties.
• Access logs: Like the website, the API service automatically records standard request metadata (IP address, timestamp, request path, response status, response time, and your browser or app's user-agent string) in diagnostic logs used for security monitoring, rate limiting, and reliability. For requests made with an API key, the log also records a short one-way fragment of the key's hash, its plan, and the remaining daily quota, never the key itself. API service logs are retained for 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Usage counts: To maintain and support the MCP tools, we record which tool was called and whether the call succeeded, and keep a total of calls per tool per day. These records contain only the tool name, the date, and the outcome of the call — never the values you enter, your results, or anything that identifies you. The daily totals are kept for up to 15 months; the individual log entries follow the 30-day retention above.
• Rendered reports (API only): A caller holding a paid API key may ask the API for a PDF report of a calculation — the one part of the API service that is not anonymous. The inputs for that calculation are then sent to our report renderer, and the finished document is written to a private storage bucket that is closed to public access. Reading it requires the signed link we return, which expires about 15 minutes after it is issued, and the stored file is deleted automatically after 7 days. This is the one path on which a report is produced on our servers; as described above, the calculator pages on this website build their reports in your browser instead.

What the API service does not do

• No personal information is requested or required, and the calculation tools are read-only — they cannot access, change, or transmit anything on your behalf.
• No third-party services receive your inputs from us: the calculations the API service performs run within our AWS infrastructure, with no outbound calls. The one exception to "on our servers" is an interactive result view, described next, which can also run a calculation inside the AI assistant's app.
• No analytics are collected on the information you enter, and no advertising technologies are used on the API service. We do not sell or share this information.

Interactive result views

Some tools come with an interactive result card that an AI assistant can show beside its answer. The card is a self-contained page we supply with the tool, and it runs inside the assistant's app rather than on our servers. It makes no network requests of its own and stores nothing: no cookies, and nothing in your browser's storage. When you move a slider, the card either recalculates inside itself or asks the assistant to run the tool again; a request run again reaches the API service like any other call and is handled as described above. When you adjust a card, the values you settle on are shared with the assistant so that it can answer follow-up questions. What the assistant does with them is governed by its own privacy policy.

Getting or buying an API key

Two pages on this website talk to the API service, and only when you act on them:

• A free key: pressing "Get a free key" on the pricing page sends a request with no content to our API. We create a key, show it to you once, and keep only a one-way (SHA-256) hash of it, with its tier. To limit how many keys can be created from one place, we count requests per day against a one-way hash of your IP address; the raw address is not stored, and the count expires automatically.
• A paid key: checkout is run by Stripe, our payment processor, which collects your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. Markco Labs LLC is the seller; we do not see or store your card details. Because paid plans are sold in the United States only, Stripe also tells us the country of your billing address and the country that issued your card; if a payment is refunded or held for review on that check, we keep those two countries and your email address with the record of that decision. When the payment completes, Stripe tells us the subscription, the checkout reference, your email address and the tier, and we keep those with a one-way hash of your key so we can manage the subscription. Opening the key page from the link you receive after checkout sends that checkout reference to our API so the page can show your key. We hold a copy of the key for 24 hours for that purpose; the copy is then deleted automatically and only the hash remains.

Nothing you type into a calculator is part of either request. The analytics events on these two pages record the tier and a status code only, never a key or a checkout reference.

All API responses are educational estimates and include a disclaimer; they do not constitute financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. If you access the API service through a third-party AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT), that assistant's own privacy policy governs what it collects from you before your request reaches us.

Log Files

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure (Amazon CloudFront) automatically collects standard server log information, which may include:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited
• Date and time of access
• Referring website

This information is collected automatically by our content delivery network and is used for troubleshooting, security monitoring, and improving site performance. It is not used to personally identify visitors.

Data Retention

Server logs are retained for 90 days for security and performance monitoring purposes, after which they are automatically deleted.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our site uses cookies for the following purposes:

Necessary Cookies and Local Settings

These entries let the site work and remember the choices you made. Two of the three are not cookies at all: they are kept in your browser's local storage, which means they stay on your device and are not attached to requests sent to our servers.

• cookie-consent (local storage): Which cookie categories you accepted or declined, the version of the consent notice you saw, the region model applied, and the date you chose. Kept for 12 months, after which you are asked again. Clear it with "Manage Cookies" in the footer of any page, or by clearing site data in your browser.
• theme-preference (local storage): Whether you chose light mode, dark mode, or your system setting. Kept until you clear it. Set the theme back to System, or clear site data in your browser.
• _geo (cookie): A two-letter country code such as "US" or "DE", used to show the consent choices your region requires. It is set at the network edge by our content delivery network (CloudFront) rather than by page code, and it holds no IP address and nothing identifying. Expires after 24 hours, and is set again on your next visit. Clear cookies for this site in your browser to remove it.

These three are not offered as an opt-out in the consent banner, because they hold the site's basic behaviour and your own consent decision. You can still remove all three yourself, either through the controls above or with "Clear everything stored on this device" on the Saved on this device page. Analytics Cookies (Optional)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), with your consent where the law requires it and otherwise unless you opt out (see "Region-Aware Consent" below), to understand how visitors use our calculators. Analytics cookies help us:

• Understand which calculators are most useful
• See how visitors move between our pages and which links they follow
• Identify pages that may have usability issues
• Improve site performance and user experience

Important: The numbers you enter into our calculators are never tracked by analytics or sent to any analytics service. When analytics are on, we collect page-level analytics (which pages you visit, how long you stay) and anonymous interaction analytics (which calculator you used, that a calculation was run, which of our own links, buttons, or FAQ sections you clicked, and how far you scrolled). These interaction events record what you did, never the values you entered — and our analytics code contains an automated safeguard, verified by tests, that strips currency amounts and number-like values from every event before it is sent.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit our site, you will see one of two notices, depending on your region (see "Region-Aware Consent" below):

• A consent banner, where you can accept all cookies (enables analytics), reject all optional cookies (analytics stay off), or manage your preferences
• A notice bar (United States and Canada), where analytics are on and you can opt out

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Manage Cookies" in the footer of any page.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser has GPC enabled, we automatically treat this as a request to opt out of analytics tracking.

Region-Aware Consent

We display different consent interfaces based on your location to comply with regional privacy laws:

• European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland: We display a full consent banner requiring your explicit opt-in before enabling analytics. This complies with GDPR requirements for prior consent. Analytics are disabled by default until you choose to accept.
• United States and Canada: We display a simple notice bar informing you about our use of analytics. Under CCPA and similar regulations, analytics are enabled by default with an easy opt-out option. You can click "Opt Out" on the notice bar or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer.
• Other Regions: When we can identify your country as one outside the regions above, we use the more protective opt-in model and show the full consent banner.

Your region is detected automatically at the network edge by our content delivery network, from the IP address of your request, and the resulting country code (e.g., "US" or "DE") is stored in the _geo cookie to ensure consistent behavior during your visit. The cookie holds only the country code, and our page code does not read or send your IP address; the address does appear in the standard server logs described under "Log Files" above, as it does for any web request. If the country code is not available, the page uses your browser's time zone instead: European time zones get the full consent banner, and all other time zones get the notice bar used in the United States and Canada.

What This Site Stores on Your Device

Because our calculators run in your browser rather than on our servers, the things this site keeps are kept on your device — and the table below lists what an ordinary visit can leave there. It is generated from the same inventory our code uses, so it stays in step with what we actually store.

What stays on your device

The figures you enter or import into a calculator live in the page while you use it, and they go no further on their own. If you press a save control, that figure is written into this browser's storage on this device so a related calculator can offer it back to you later. A different browser on the same computer is a different store, and so is another person's device. We hold no copy of those values, and there is no sign-in that would let us match them to you. The Saved on this device page explains that feature in full.

What leaves your device, and when

Three paths carry information away from your browser, and you control each one:

• Analytics, unless you decline or opt out. Where the law requires consent, this happens only after you accept; in the United States and Canada it happens by default until you opt out. Google Analytics receives which pages you viewed and what kind of action you took — event names, counts, page addresses, and the browser and country-level details listed under Third-Party Services below. The values you entered are not part of those events, as described under "Analytics Cookies (Optional)" above.
• An AI assistant, when you press one of the assistant buttons. Some calculators offer buttons that open Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini with a short summary of your saved figures placed in the link. Pressing one hands that summary to the company running that assistant. It happens on your press, and it is covered under "AI Assistants You Choose" in Third-Party Services below.
• Our MCP server and developer API, when it is called deliberately. That service is a separate address for developers and AI assistants, described above. Reading the pages of this website does not call it. The two pages that do are the API key pages, and only when you press "Get a free key" or open the key page from your checkout link, as described under Getting or buying an API key.

Beyond those, what reaches us is the ordinary web request for each page, image and data file, recorded in the access logs described under "Log Files". Those requests identify the file being fetched, not the numbers you typed.

How to clear it

Each row above names its own way out, and most of them can also be reached from the feature that created them. To remove everything in one action, open Saved on this device and use "Clear everything stored on this device" at the end of the inventory there. That control asks for a second press before it acts, and it also removes your saved consent choice — so the cookie notice will ask you again afterwards.

Clearing this site's data through your browser's own settings removes the same material. To change only your analytics choice, use "Manage Cookies" in the footer of any page.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data, with your consent where the law requires it and otherwise unless you opt out. GA4 may collect:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Anonymous interaction events: which calculator was used, that a calculation ran, which of our own navigation links or FAQ sections were clicked, search terms typed into our site search, and scroll depth
• Browser type, device type, and screen resolution
• General geographic location (country/region level)
• Referring website (how you found us)

We have configured GA4 with the following privacy settings:

• IP Anonymization: Your IP address is anonymized before being stored
• No User ID Tracking: We do not track individual users across sessions
• No Calculator Input Tracking: Your financial data and calculator inputs are never sent to Google. This is enforced in code: an automated safeguard strips currency amounts and number-like values from every analytics event before it leaves your browser, and unit tests verify the safeguard on every release
• Consent Mode v2: Where the law requires prior consent, as in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and in other regions where we show the full consent banner, GA4 collects data only after you accept. In the United States and Canada, analytics are on by default and stop when you opt out or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal

AI Assistants You Choose

On calculators where you have saved figures, the results area offers a packet you can hand to an AI assistant, along with three buttons that open one of them directly. The packet itself is written in your browser. The buttons lead to services run by other companies:

• Anthropic (claude.ai) — privacy policy (opens in new tab)
• OpenAI (chatgpt.com) — privacy policy (opens in new tab)
• Google (gemini.google.com) — privacy policy (opens in new tab)

When you press one of those buttons, your browser opens that company's website with a short summary of your saved figures and the calculator's result carried in the web address. That company receives the summary as the page opens, before you have typed anything. Because it travels in the address, it may also be recorded in your own browser history and in that company's request logs. From that point their privacy policy applies to it, not ours, and how they use it depends on the account and settings you have with them.

This happens only when you press one of those buttons. Nothing is handed to an assistant if you simply use a calculator, and the "Copy packet" option gives you the same material to read and paste yourself, so you can see exactly what you are sharing first.

Advertising

Our site may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks in the future. These networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites to provide targeted advertisements. If advertising is implemented, this policy will be updated and you will be prompted to consent.

How We Use Information

Information collected through server logs and (if implemented) analytics is used to:

• Monitor and improve site performance
• Understand how visitors use our calculators
• Identify technical issues
• Enhance user experience

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer this information to third parties except as described in this policy.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through our site. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Information

Our site is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: Request disclosure of personal information collected
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information
• Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of personal information
• Right to Non-Discrimination: Equal service regardless of exercising rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information. To opt out of analytics tracking, click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in our footer or use the "Manage Cookies" option to disable analytics cookies.
